Everything important to him runs on this stuff—his car, his job as a mechanic, and his relationship with Maja, his girlfriend. She is a musician. Kai and Maja used to enjoy cruising through the city at nighttime with their BMW, listening to the newest tracks. But lately, cruising has become just another ritual. Because Kais life is stuck in a loop and he doesnt want to change anything. Kais life coincides with a time in which oil reserves are finally running out. Gas is at seven bucks a gallon. His world is coming to an end. So, what does Kai do? He hits the accelerator. Kais fueled by the notion—gotta get my potion! The film, Sprit describes the inevitable loss of a way of life and the conscious denial of that fact.
